Microcement

Microcement creates calm, continuous surfaces across bathrooms, floors, walls, and joinery — with no grout lines, no tiles, and no disruption to what’s already there.

Why microcement

One Surface. No Limits.

Traditional tiling interrupts your space with grout lines, joins, and visual noise. Microcement eliminates all of that — flowing continuously from wall to floor to bench without a single break. It’s not just a finish, it’s a design statement that makes every room feel larger, calmer, and intentionally considered.

The benefits

Built for the Way You Actually Live

Seamless by Design

No grout lines. No tile joins. No visual interruptions. Microcement flows from wall to floor to ceiling in one continuous surface — making any space feel larger and more intentional.

Waterproof & Mould Resistant

Once sealed, our microcement system is fully waterproof and resistant to mould and mildew — making it ideal for showers, wet rooms, and bathrooms with no compromise on aesthetics.

Applied Over Existing Surfaces

No need to rip out your old tiles. Our layered mineral system bonds directly over existing substrates — dramatically reducing renovation time, cost, and waste.

Incredibly Durable

Microcement is resistant to daily wear, scratching, and impact. It’s engineered for high-traffic areas including floors, commercial spaces, and family bathrooms.

Fully Customisable

With hundreds of tones and three distinct texture levels — fine, medium, and coarse — microcement adapts to any interior aesthetic from minimalist to industrial to warm and organic.

The process

Layered by Hand. Sealed for Life.

Our microcement system is built up in carefully controlled layers — each one serving a specific purpose. The result is a surface that looks effortless but is engineered to last decades.

Surface Preparation

We assess and prepare the existing substrate — whether tiles, concrete, or plasterboard — ensuring a clean, stable base for adhesion. No demolition required in most cases.

Base Coat Application

The first mineral layer is trowelled on by hand, establishing the foundation and beginning to build surface depth. This coat is left to cure fully before proceeding.

Microcement Layers

Two or more layers of microcement are applied, each one hand-trowelled to develop the distinctive texture and tonal variation that gives the finish its character.

Sanding & Refinement

Between coats, the surface is lightly sanded to ensure a smooth, even finish. This step is what separates a professional result from an amateur one.

Sealing

A high-performance sealant is applied in multiple coats — locking in the finish, activating waterproofing, and protecting the surface from staining, moisture, and wear.

Applications

From Shower to Shopfront.

Microcement adapts to virtually any interior surface — horizontal or vertical, wet or dry, residential or commercial. If you can tile it, we can microcement it. If you can’t tile it, we probably still can.

Common questions

Your Questions, Answered

Can microcement be applied over existing tiles?

Yes — in most cases. Our system bonds directly to existing tile surfaces, eliminating the need for demolition. We assess each substrate individually during consultation.

Absolutely. With the correct sealant system — including our Microcement Impervious range — the surface is fully waterproof and rated for continuous water exposure including shower floors and wet rooms.

When applied correctly over a stable substrate, microcement is highly crack resistant. Proper surface preparation — which we carry out on every job — is the key factor.

Day-to-day, a damp mop or soft cloth is all you need. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners and abrasive scrubbers. A periodic re-seal every few years keeps the surface protected and looking its best.

Cost depends on area size, substrate condition and finish selected. We provide detailed, transparent quotes after a free on-site or virtual consultation — no hidden fees.
